Still Wouldn't Support the Surge

Barack Obama in an interview with Terry Moran of ABC still denied that he would support the surge knowing what he knows now of the great accomplishments in Iraq then.

He said this:
TERRY MORAN: The surge of U.S. troops, combined with ordinary Iraqis' rejection of both al Qaeda and Shiite extremists have transformed the country. Attacks are down more than 80% nationwide. U.S. combat casualties have plummeted, five this month so far, compared with 78 last July, and Baghdad has a pulse again. If you had to do it over again, knowing what you know now, would you — would you support the surge?
OBAMA: No, because — keep in mind that —
MORAN: You wouldn't?
OBAMA: Well, no, keep — these kinds of hypotheticals are very difficult. Hindsight is 20/20. I think what I am absolutely convinced of is that at that time, we had to change the political debate, because the view of the Bush administration at that time was one that I just disagreed with…"

It seems like political expediency is more important to Mr. Obama than those who have risked their lives to fight for demoracy in Iraq. So he would not support it, even though it has proved great accomplishments and made way for safety and demoracy in the future. It definitely is interesting that changing the political debate is more important than completing the mission and trying to win the war and make sure Iraq is safe for its people and for Americans to leave. I just wish some person in the MSM would cover this story, but wait I forgot there is nobody left to criticize it because most of them are with Obama right now in the middle east.

NY Post Thinks it's Worthy to Print

NY Post printed Senator McCain's op-ed piece today in their newspaper. At least they think that it is worthy to read and important to print a presidential nominee of a major party's opinion. The editor leaves a note saying: EDITORS' NOTE: The New York Times wouldn't print this oped from the GOP candidate.

Worst Person in the World: Bud Day? Olbermann Thinks So

If I would tell you that Keith Olbermann, as Mark Levin calls him Countdown to No Ratings, would say such a vile comment denegrating one of many respected war heroes and prisoner of wars, would you believe it? Apparently he did, and it was directed to former POW Bud Day, who was with Senator McCain in the Hanoi Hilton. It all started with Bud Day saying that Muslims want to kill us and did not use the word radical or extremist in front of it so it seemed like he was directed attention to all Muslims.

Keith Olbermann then said this on his show: "John agrees with him. As of tonight, John's campaign has refused to repudiate Day's racism and religious hatred. Maybe John needs to get rid of this clown but fast. Bud "The Muslims are Going to Kill Us" Day, today's "Worst Person in the World."

The Worst Person in the World, unbelievable. How dare you describe a war veteran who volunteered and served in WW2 and Vietnam War. In the Vietnam War, he was held captive and tortured for 30 months. There are no words to describe these comments. This is one of the worst comments even coming from Keith Olbermann describing an American patriot and hero. An apology is needed to Bud Day, but one will probably not be given. I could rant and say vile things about Olbermann, but why stoop down to his level. It is just disgusting and just another reason to watch MSNBC, the company that supplies Iran. Thanks to newsbusters for this information because otherwise I never would have found out.

New York Times No Bias, Yea Right

N.Y. Times Muzzles McCain

Opinion piece by presumptive GOP nominee is rejected by paper's op-ed editor — a former Clinton aide — who tells McCain to write article that 'mirrors Senator Obama's piece'

This is unbelievable. If you read Senator McCain's piece, which is excellent by the way, it describes the situation in Iraq and how his plan is better than Senator Obama's. If this is supposed to be a newspaper it should definitely print both sides of the issue and what's more important than printing both candidates for president opinions. This is disgusting and just sad. The New York Times should just come out and apologize.

They claim that they did not print because it did not offer any new material, but neither did Senator Obama's. Even David Shipley, the op-ed editor said that "It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama’s piece." This is unbelievable. As long as you sound like Obama, then we accept you; it's basically what Shipley is saying. Also, this David Shipley worked in the Clinton administration from 95-97 as special assistant to the president and senior presidential speechwriter.  Every person who believes in fair and balanced newspapers and are currently subscribing to the NY Times, they should cancel their subscription. If it is supposed to be a credible newspaper, than it should print whatever the candidates say.

This is Senator McCain's piece:

Really, I Don't Believe It

Rice: Iran Not Serious at Weekend Nuke Meeting

Secretary of state warns Iran may face new sanctions, it's time for Iran to give a 'serious answer' to nuke incentives offer.

This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone. The Iranians have said time and time again that they do not want to give up their uranium enrichment program. They have just shown us again that direct diplomacy does not work with them. Who knows what will happen next because I sure don't.
