Iran says it now runs more than 5,000 centrifuges

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran has more than 5,000 centrifuges to process
uranium at its enrichment plant, its nuclear chief said Wednesday, in
the country's latest defiance of U.N. demands that it halt the
controversial program.
