UN Security Council approves Gaza cease-fire resolution

The UN Security Council
approved a resolution Thursday calling for an immediate and durable
cease-fire between Hamas and Israeli forces now fighting in the Gaza
Strip.
The vote was 14-0, with the United States abstaining.
The United States should have taken a stand and voted no on the resolution. It would show Israel and the rest of the world that when terrorist organizations terrorize civilians it will not be tolerated. Israel should ignore this resolution made by the feckless organization known as the UN. Hamas continues to fire rockets at Israel and will never stop until their goal of Israel's destruction is reached. There should be no talk of a two-state solution now and there should also be no cease-fire. Israel needs to continue to attack Hamas, no matter what the rest of the world says. Hamas wants to destroy Israel, therefore Israel should try to eradicate Hamas unless they want to be completely wiped off the map.
