Beware Abhorrent Hate Crime Legislation
by David Limbaugh

Homosexual activists aren't easily deterred. Unable to persuade even the people of California to change the definition of marriage to legitimize their lifestyle, they're resorting to a backdoor approach to accomplish the same thing: pushing federal hate crime legislation while few are paying attention.

Coulter on the Unethical "Torture" Techniques Implemented by the CIA

Muslims: 'We Do That On First Dates'

Without any pretense of an argument, which liberals are neurologically incapable of, the mainstream media are now asserting that our wussy interrogation techniques at Guantanamo constituted "torture" and have irreparably harmed America's image abroad.

Only the second of those alleged facts is true: The president's release of the Department of Justice interrogation memos undoubtedly hurt America's image abroad, as we are snickered at in capitals around the world, where they know what real torture is. The Arabs surely view these memos as a pack of lies. What about the pills Americans have to turn us gay?

Gay Marriage Might be Redefined in New Hampshire

NH Senate votes to allow gay marriage

CONCORD, N.H. - The state Senate voted Wednesday to move New Hampshire a step closer to becoming the fifth state to allow gay marriage, but made a distinction between religious and civil ceremonies, bringing back an idea the House rejected in March.

The bill, which passed the Senate 13-11, goes to the House, which can agree with the Senate, kill the bill or ask to negotiate something different.

Nixon announces release of White House Watergate tapes

On this day in 1974, President Richard Nixon announces to the public that he will release transcripts of 46 taped White House conversations in response to a Watergate trial subpoena issued in July 1973. The House Judiciary committee accepted 1,200 pages of transcripts the next day, but insisted that the tapes themselves be turned over as well.

Riots erupt in Los Angeles

In Los Angeles, California, four Los Angeles police officers that had been caught beating an unarmed African-American motorist in an amateur video are acquitted of any wrongdoing in the arrest. Hours after the verdicts were announced, outrage and protest turned to violence, as rioters in south-central Los Angeles blocked freeway traffic and beat motorists, wrecked and looted numerous downtown stores and buildings, and set more than 100 fires.

Ft. Dix Plotters Sentenced to Life

Last two Fort Dix plotters get long sentences

Only one of the five men convicted in the Fort Dix terrorist plot received a sentence of less than life in prison.

Serdar Tatar, of Philadelphia, whose main role in the plot was providing a map of Fort Dix from his father's nearby pizza shop, was sentenced today to 33 years behind bars.

Like two other defendants, Mohammad Shnewer today received a sentence of life plus 30 years in prison.

House Approves $3.4 Trillion Fiscal 2010 Budget Conference Report

The vote was 233-193. All Republicans voted against the budget report, while 17 Democrats also voted no. Also, 7 Congressmen did not vote. This budget includes reconciliation language that would implement nationalized health care. I posted what reconciliation was a few days ago, but here is again for those who missed it:

GOP Back in Favor?

Generic Congressional Ballot
Republicans Top Democrats on Generic Congressional Ballot

For just the second time in more than five years of daily or weekly tracking, Republicans now lead Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 41% would vote for their district’s Republican candidate while 38% would choose the Democrat. Thirty-one percent (31%) of conservative Democrats said they would vote for their district’s Republican candidate.
