Murphy's Lead Diminshes Over Tedisco

Murphy's lead shrinks to 13 votes

Democrat Scott Murphy’s razor-thin lead over Republican Jim Tedisco shrank today, without any additional votes being counted.

Election officials in Columbia County miscounted over 100 votes in one precinct and when the votes were re-counted, Tedisco picked up a net of 34 votes. That cuts Murphy’s lead to 25 votes, 77,217 to 77,192.  And at least 6,000 absentee ballots are still left to be counted.

UPDATE: A high-level GOP source reports that Murphy's lead over Tedisco has narrowed further to 13 votes, after most of the counties in the district recounted their vote totals.  Three counties -- Essex, Greene and Delaware -- haven't re-canvassed the vote yet, and won't do so until later in the week.

Matthews Gets Another Thrill

Matthews Chirps Groovy Cool Obamas Gave Him Another 'Thrill!'

Chris Matthews, on Wednesday's "Hardball," admitted Barack Obama, along with his wife Michelle this time, gave him yet another "thrill." The MSNBC host gleefully described his feelings at seeing the Obamas arrive in England for the G20 summit this way [audio available here]:

Well there is something cool when they were both - there's a nice ‘60s term. When they were both walking to the helicopter the other day, Marine One, there was something like, when he looked at her, you could just tell he said, "Isn't this something?" You know you could tell like they were experiencing the-, the, I'm getting old here. The grooviness, the excitement of being this First American Couple heading towards Marine One, which is cool in itself, heading from there to Air Force One, to a quick flight across the Atlantic, on your own plane. And to meet with the world leaders as like the centerpiece of the world. What? I get-, I'm saying it again, I'm getting a thrill.

Could Abortion be a Blessing?

"Abortion is a Blessing"

Monday March 30, 2009

The Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge has unanimously elected a new dean, Dr. Katherine Ragsdale.

Chris Johnson at the Midwest Conservative Journal posts:

How radically pro-abortion is Katie Rags?  This radically pro-abortion:

And when a woman becomes pregnant within a loving, supportive, respectful relationship; has every option open to her; decides she does not wish to bear a child; and has access to a safe, affordable abortion - there is not a tragedy in sight -- only blessing.
