Analysis of the Housing Crisis with Dr. Thomas Sowell

This is a five part series presented by Peter Robinson of the Hoover Institution. The show is called Uncommon Knowledge. This week, Mr. Robinson has Dr. Thomas Sowell to talk about his new book The Housing Boom and Bust and the housing crisis. The housing crisis has been talked about a lot, but I thought it would be good to get a better understanding of the crisis and Mr. Sowell is I think one of the best to explain in plain language. In part 1, he discusses the economics of the housing crisis.

Putin and Medvedev Don't Find Any Fault in Obama

Jim Geraghty, at the Campaign Sport blog on National Review Online, has an observation that is frightening.

This is what he said:

If you're the American President, and men like Dimitri Medvedev and Vladimir Putin can't find anything to complain about what you're doing, are you doing your job right?

Putin and Medvedev obviously feel comfortable with one of their own.

This is what Putin had to say about the meeting:

Putin says Obama meeting went well

MOSCOW (AP) — Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin says his first meeting with President Barack Obama went "very well."

The former Russian president called the two-hour meeting "substantive, informative and collaborative."

This from Joe Biden on Sunday:

Now, this from Barack Obama today:

Obama: 'Absolutely' no green light for Israel to attack Iran

US President Barack Obama on Tuesday strongly denied that the United States had given Israel an approval to strike Iran's nuclear facilities.

Asked by CNN whether Washington had given Israel a green light for such an attack, Obama answered: "Absolutely not."

"How to Win Liberal Friends and Oppress Your People"

A Thug’s Primer
How to win liberal friends and oppress your people.

By Victor Davis Hanson

How strange that our rather nondescript, sober friends abroad do not garner attention from the current administration, yet overt enemies in Cuba, Nicaragua, Iran, Venezuela, and the West Bank most certainly do. Is there some covert code of conduct known to these dictators that allows them to win a pass from supposedly liberal Americans, who profess to value human rights, religious tolerance, and consensual government?

Here’s a tutorial for up-and-coming thugs abroad, who wish to ingratiate themselves with Western elites, not worry about “legitimacy,” and not have someone meddle in their affairs.
